|
Sanden International Singapore Pte Ltd (SIS) celebrated Singapore‘s National Day (9 August)
with a gathering of all employees. SIS management unveiled the logo for the company's 50th
anniversary, which will be celebrated on 2nd December. It was a day for employees to reflect on the
many memories of the team's collective efforts, the company's sustained growth and its commitment
to a bright future. |

A Journey Through 50 Years
|
| We present SIS's record of growth over the years and the important milestones and achievements
up to date.
SIS was established on 2 December 1974 as a regional office in Singapore and began its expansion
into the Asian and African markets. In 1983, a factory was built in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. In 1988,
compressor production reached one million units. In 1998, the company became Singapore's first
ASEAN Industrial Cooperation (AICO) company, significantly increasing its influence in the
region.
In 2006, the company received the DEMING Application Award and achieved in producing 10 million
compressor units. In 2021, Sanden Corporation became a member of the Hisense Group, strengthening
the foundation for future growth. This December, we celebrate our 50th anniversary.

Unveiling SIS Logo

|
SIS 50th anniversary logo was also unveiled, indicating SIS’s founding year (1974) to the
current year (2024), forming the number "50," and symbolizing the company's rich history and a
promising future towards infinity. The Gold color reflects SIS’s full dedication to quality and
excellence, emphasizing ongoing growth and innovation.

Honoring Singapore’s Heritage:
|
| In addition to celebrating its own milestones, SIS paid tribute to Singapore’s rich history.
Employees were reminded of Singapore’s journey from its founding as "Singapura" – the Lion City –
to its modern-day status as a global hub thru colonial era. We also identified the country's
fundamental values of democracy, peace, progress, justice and equality, which are represented by
Singapore's flag and coat of arms. |

Symbolic Tree of Life
|
| Another significant moment involved all SIS employees using their thumb prints to form a “tree
of life” and signing on a framed SIS garland canvas, which represented collective efforts in
advancing the company forward with united teamwork and dedicated commitment for the future, which
had been a basic essence to the company’s success over the past 50 years. |

Looking Forward to the Journey ahead
|
| This event was an opportunity to re-energize ourselves for a challenging future.
With a clear vision of becoming a global leader in the manufacture of automotive air
conditioning compressors, SIS will focus on technological innovation and market expansion, driven
by a commitment to quality and high technology. SIS employees have adopted the motto of "One
Sanden, One Team" and are determined to move forward to the next stage with a common purpose.
SIS management team expects each employee to be vigilant and to look out for one another as well
as continuing to ”Develop with Wisdom” and “Prosper in Harmony”. |
